Jun 1, 2014 08:30 Marathon Baie-des-Chaleurs Carleton-sur-Mer, Quebec Email
Jun 8, 2014 07:00 Fallen 4 Marathon Whitecourt, Alberta Email
The communities of Mayerthorpe and Whitecourt were devastated by the deaths of four young RCMP Constables, March 3, 2005. In the midst of the grief and shock the citizens of each community conducted themselves with dignity and respect and showed the world the pride rural communities have in their RCMP. The Fallen 4 Marathon Society has decided to recognize the ultimate sacrifice that Constables Peter Schiemann, Leo Johnston, Anthony Gordon and Brock Myrol made. The brutality and senselessness of their deaths has been overwhelming for the communities of Mayerthorpe and Whitecourt and the rest of Canada. This was a very sad and painful moment in the history of our country, and we have decided start a memorial marathon/relay in their honor. The race will start at the Fallen Four Memorial Park in Mayerthorpe and end in Whitecourt.

Jun 15, 2014 08:00 Bay of Fundy Marathon Lubec-Campobello Marathon
207-619-1887 o
Start at the easternmost point in the USA, run to the northernmost tip of Campobello Island, Canada, and back to the USA. A scenic, friendly, community supported marathon in one of the USA and Canada?s quietest corners. Fun for beginners, challenging for experienced runners ? no big hills, just lots of little ones. Half the elevation gain of the Mount Washington road race, but five times Boston. June temperatures are normally cool with mists from the Bay of Fundy and the Labrador current. Aid stations are approximately every 2 miles/4 kms (and yes, we?re adding even more this year). Awards are handcrafted by local artists, as are the marathon finisher?s medals. Five star pasta supper with locally made deserts and local musicians. We?re also working on a lobster cook-out but no promises yet! Our goody bags are genuine lobster bait bags. Our shirts are technical wicking Tees ? short sleeved for the 10K, long sleeved for the marathon ? made in Maine from recycled plastic milk jugs. Marathon runners must have a passport but will be pre-cleared by the border agencies ? who will be cheering you on, not stopping you during the race.
