The Knee Knackering North Shore Trail Run is a challenging 30-mile foot race along the Baden-Powell Centennial Trail from Horseshoe Bay to Deep Cove. It provides runners with magnificent city, mountain and ocean views, as they go up and over the mountains which grace the North Shore of the city of Vancouver, climbing 8,000 feet and descending another 8,300 feet in the process.

The course starts in Fort Langley, does a short tour around the historic town site before heading out into the surrounding countryside and rolling hills. Part of the route traces the historic Hudson's Bay Co. "Telegraph Trail". You will also pass Western Canada's second largest Horse Park, Thunderbird Show Park, as well as the Driediger Farms Strawberry Fields.

For the 23rd year the Nova Scotia Marathon and Half Marathon will be held in the Municipality of Barrington with the run basically, for most of its length, being around Cape Sable Island, home of the famous Cape Island fishing boat. Barrington is in the western end of Shelburne County along the South West end of Nova Scotia and is the Lobster Capital of Canada.
