Supporters and recreational runners are encouraged to watch and go for a shorter run. The main event is for seasoned runners only. Walkers are welcome at the Kennebecasis Valley Challenge event in October.

This land, totaling over 150 acres, is used by residents and visitors who come to enjoy the scenic views, engage in recreational activities in the open spaces, and utilize the multi-use trail for a number of purposes. The asphalt trail, which is over four kilometers in length, is part of the Waterfront Trail that runs from Hamilton to Belleville. Participants of the Town's half marathon (21.1 km) will experience first-hand why the waterfront is often referred to as "the jewel of the south".
